Most likely the busy you see is it hitting the page file, a fast drive may resolve this too. I have removed the printer and re-installed with the latest driver from the manufacturer's website Konica. Another thing I just tried, is setting her default printer to the Windows XPS as her default, open a Word document and nothing happened with her mouse cursor. I'm starting to think the issue is a certain form she is working with, as this does not happen with any other program or on her desktop.
As someone who has a lot of users who want you to explain what the problem is; but don't really care what the problem is. I think I have it figured out, but I've asked the user to report their findings to me. The machine in question uses an AMD video driver. After applying the latest video driver update, I was not able to duplicate the blinking cursor in MS Word. I'm still scratching my head here because initially, this only happened in Word but nothing else.
Why would a video driver fix this? I have not used that program, but I will definitely take a look at it. Thank you for your help MrAdam, I appreciate everyone's input! Meminfo tells me alot, plus the memory defrag feature is handy. Procmon is another helpful utility, but i doubt your issue had anything to do with the proc.
