Frisbee game

All you need to play this game are two buckets with slits on the side and a Frisbee. From a distance, teams take turns to throw a disc toward the two containers. One teammate stands behind the buckets and attempts to deflect the Frisbee to make it hit the containers or enter through the top opening. You score various points if the disc hits the container sides or by slam-dunking it through the top opening. The objective of the game is to score exactly 21 points.

The most exciting maneuver that results in an instant win involves throwing the disc and landing it directly inside the container unassisted. A thrower may earn points as well by hitting the containers without having the Frisbee deflected. This recreational ultimate Frisbee game is quite similar to dodge-ball except for the fact that it involves throwing discs towards other players rather than balls.

In what starts out as a clash between two teams facing each other a few feet apart, this game culminates in a shootout involving two players throwing discs at each other. Teams take equal back and forth turns to make their shot.

If you are hit, you are out. A throwing player may be eliminated also if their disc is caught by the opposing team before it drops down.

In this case, whoever is hit remains in the game. The last player standing wins for their team, so others can cheer on their teammate and continue to have fun even after elimination. What you need: disc , drunk dudes alternatively sober dudes, up to you. Disc Guts will put your Ultimate throwing and catching skills to the test. It begins with two teams lined up horizontally while standing a few feet from each other. You score a point by either landing the Frisbee behind your competitors in a marked area or if an opposing team member catches the disc and drops it.

Opponents are not permitted to move until the disc leaves the hand of the thrower. If the thrower misses the marked score zone, the receiving team scores a point. The defending side must catch the disc to prevent any points from being scored. The team first worked to build out a throwing mechanic from scratch, as well as artificial intelligence unique to the sport of ultimate.

After building a successful prototype, the project was given the green light and has now been in development for over a year. AUDL 22 aims to encapsulate all of the excitement of the sport of ultimate in a full-simulation feel.

The winning team is the one with the most points after two halves of 20 minutes each. Pool jumping frisbee is the perfect game for the warmer months.

The aim of the game is simple — to get a photo of someone doing their craziest jump into the pool as they attempt to catch a frisbee.

You will need someone to throw the frisbee, someone to take the picture, and someone to catch the frisbee as they jump into the pool. The person who makes the most athletic catch or creates the funniest photo wins! This simple game is a lot of fun for younger children. Start by setting up a running course for the kids.

The course could either be across flat ground or might incorporate a few obstacles to make it trickier. Each child is given a frisbee which is turned upside down and filled with a cup of water. The children must race while holding the frisbee and spilling the least amount of water possible.

The goal of the game is to place frisbees in a tic tac toe grid , with the winner being the first person to get three in a row — just like tic tac toe. To play this game, you will require at least 12 frisbees of 2 different colors 6 of each color and between 2 to 4 players.

Start by setting up a tic tac toe grid on some concrete using duct tape or chalk. Alternately, you could draw a grid on a large piece of cardboard, a tarpaulin or shower curtain, which can be placed on grass or concrete. If there are 4 players have them form two teams of two players. Each team will stand on opposite corners of the grid from their partner, about 6 feet away from the corner. If there are only two players, they stand on opposite side of the grid, about 6 feet away from it.

To choose who goes first, flip a frisbee into the air like a coin and have one team call top or bottom. If they call the side of the frisbee that is facing upwards, they go first. The teams will alternately throw frisbees into the squares in an effort to form three in a row. If a frisbee throw is missed of lands in a square already being occupied, they get that frisbee back and wait for their next turn.

This is a wonderful game for younger children who cannot accurately throw frisbees yet. It requires at least 10 frisbees to play. Give the children one frisbee each and have them stand in a line.

Then, one at a time, have them form a tower using the frisbees. When a child successfully adds a frisbee to the tower, they get one point. After the tower has been built and collapsed several times, count the points of each player and declare a winner.

The frisbee version of the popular hot potato game! Have all of the players spread out into a large circle. Each player should be at least 10 feet away from any other player. Set a random timer on a mobile phone. From there, players will continue throwing it in a circle. If anyone drops the frisbee, they are out of the game unless the throw is really bad. The person holding the frisbee when the timer goes off is caught with the hot potato and is also out of the game.

Once a person is caught with the hot potato, the timer is reset and the game commences again. The game continues until there is only one player left. This challenging game is useful for building frisbee throwing skills. It requires a frisbee and a disc golf basket or a Kanjam target. This game can be played solo or with a group of people.

The aim is to move around the target in 9 different positions, and successfully throw the frisbee into the disc golf basket as many times as possible.

Alternately, you could award points for simply hitting the target if you are using a different kind of target. The 9 throwing positions move in an anti-clockwise or clockwise direction, with each position being a different distance from the target view image.

Modify the number of players to suit the field size. Form a 20m square with the 4 cones. The aim of the game is to retain possession of the discby passing to teammates for as long as possible. As in ultimate, players may not run with the disc and have a stall count of Goaltimate is played just like ultimate, but with the aim being to throw the disc into a goal football or hockey rather than catch it in an endzone.

A simple goal could be made between two cones. A variation is to play half-court goaltimate, requiring a team to pass the disc outside a box before attempting to score eg the penalty box around a soccer goal. This is a miniature game of ultimate, and more fast-paced. There are 2 scoring goals, 5m x 5m boxes, separated by about 20m. One teams starts with the disc in their box and is attacking the opponent's box.

Each time a team scores, they immediately are attacking the other box. Otherwise, the rules are the same as Ultimate. Hot Box is like the half-court version of double box. The field can be much more congested with both teams attacking the same goal. The goal is a 5m x 5m square in the centre of a 20m x 20m square. Teams are 5-a-side on the court with unlimited subs. The aim is to catch the disc in the goal to scor a point.

When a team gains possession of the disc, they must complete a pass outside the outer box before they can attack the goal. Otherwise, the rules are the same as for regular Ultimate. After scoring, the scoring team retains possession of the disc and must move the disc out of the outer box before they can score again. Unlimited subs are allowed during play. Play games to 3 or 5. For more advanced players, reduce the size of the box to 3m-a-side and the number of players to 3 or 4 per team.

Indoor ultimate is played on a netball or basketball court. The endzone is the goal circle netball or keyhole basketball. Each team has four players. After a player catches a goal, they touch the disc to the ground and start again, attacking the opposite goal. Each team has two substitutes. Substitution can happen at any time by tagging the player on the sideline. A game is usually played for 15 minutes. The court is two 10m x 10m boxes separated by a 5m wide no-man's land.
